Job Title: Engineering Lead – Modular Data Centres

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of our modular data centres. As a leader in our innovative and fast-paced organisation, you will be responsible for overseeing cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge, scalable solutions that align with our clients’ needs and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.
Design and Development
- Oversee the design and optimisation of modular data centre and data centre power train solutions.
- Ensure all projects meet quality, efficiency, scalability, and sustainability targets.
Project Oversight
- Act as the technical authority for modular electrical and data centre engineering projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
Innovation and Strategy
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Champion innovative solutions to improve our modular data centre offerings.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and policies.
- Identify and mitigate engineering risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- 7+ years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven expertise in data centre technologies, modular system designs, and energy-efficient solutions.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards such as Uptime Institute, ISO, ASHRAE, etc.
- Experience with various European standards and directives including localisation requirements in CSA and M&E.
- Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience with power system integration in modular and traditional data centre environments.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM) cloud and engineering management tools.
- Experience with global deployments and cross-cultural team collaboration.
